So if your CGPA on a scale of 10 according to the example given above is 8.83, then your percentage can be calculated by simply multiplying 8.83 by 9.5 which results in 83.885%. The decimal is then rounded off to a whole figure which is 84%.
Suppose your CGPA is on a 4-point scale, the most widely accepted conversion to percentage is to multiply the CGPA on a 4-point scale by 25. It cannot be stressed enough that contacting your institution might be the best way to ensure the accuracy of your percentage or marks.

80 - 89 marks = 9 grade points
70 - 79 marks = 8 grade points and so on.
Most Universities and Global Institutions allot credit hours to subjects based on their priority within a course of study, for example. If you are a psychology major and upon completion of the course, you are awarded 14 credit hours, those 14 credit hours would now be multiplied by your grade point to calculate the sum of grade points.
