The Science Expo
The Science Expo is a dynamic platform where students can showcase their scientific prowess through innovative projects and interactive demonstrations. This event provides an opportunity for participants to present their research and inventions, experiments, fundamental scientific principles, fostering a spirit of inquiry and discovery. With engaging exhibits, Scientifico aims to ignite curiosity and passion for science among students of all ages.
Rules and Regulations
- Eligibility: The competition is open to students under two different categories.
- Level 1 - 7th - 12th Grade students (State, CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, IB, PUC)
- Level 2 - UG and PG Science and Engineering students
- Team Size: It could be an individual participant or a team can have a maximum of 4 members.
- An institution can send a maximum of 2 teams for expo competition.
- Project Submission: Participants must submit their project proposals in advance for review and approval.
- Novel Working Models: Participants are recommended to present working models. Projects should emphasise creativity and feature novel working models that demonstrate scientific principles or technological innovations. Although participants can present non-working models, only unique non-working models shall be considered for the judging process.
- Presentation: Participants will present their projects at the expo through interactive demonstrations and informative displays.
- Judging Criteria:
- Creativity: The originality and innovative aspects of the working model.
- Scientific Accuracy: The demonstration of scientific principles and concepts.
- Presentation: The clarity, organisation, and effectiveness of the presentation.
- Impact: The potential real-world impact or applications of the project.
- Judging Process: A panel of judges comprising experts in relevant scientific fields will evaluate the projects based on the criteria mentioned above.
- Prizes: Following prizes are proposed for each level.
- I Prize - ₹ 5000/- cash prize and certificate
- II Prize - ₹ 3000/- cash prize and certificate
- Intellectual Property Rights: Participants retain script rights but grant the committee permission to use excerpts for promotional purposes.
- Code of Conduct: Participants must adhere to the code of conduct and maintain professionalism and integrity during the competition.
- Disqualification: Violation of rules, inappropriate behaviour, or non-compliance leads to disqualification.
- Cancellation: The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event or registration at any time, with or without prior notice.
