In celebration of World Suicide Prevention Day 2025, the DP1 and DP2 learners of Psychology at Knowledgeum Academy hosted a special assembly as a CAS initiative.
The learners were divided into three groups, each with a group of DP1 learners mentored by the DP2 learners. The first group provided awareness on suicide, covering the subtle signs and myths surrounding it. The second group used an activity to explore how our individual thoughts and feelings can be regulated and how to seek support when in need. Finally, the third group encouraged each person to support others by presenting a short skit.
The members of the school were also provided with yellow ribbons to show their support for the cause and were encouraged to complete a free online training offered by Zero Suicide Alliance. Let's change the narrative!
