Science Day – AXIOM 2026 was celebrated on 14th January 2026 at the Knowledgeum Academy Auditorium with great enthusiasm and intellectual engagement. The event highlighted science as a discipline deeply connected to culture, everyday life, and human progress.
The programme began with a cultural presentation titled “Makar Sankranti: When Science Changes Direction,” linking scientific concepts such as Earth’s axial tilt and solar movement with cultural traditions. This was followed by engaging segments including The Science Behind the Magic, a competitive Science Quiz, and a short film screening Reality Check – Science Did It First, which creatively showcased the relevance of scientific thinking.
Post-lunch sessions featured Myth Busters, the Science Memory Match Game, and the Collaborative Science Project (CSP) Presentations, where learners demonstrated inquiry, interdisciplinary thinking, and ethical reflection. Evaluated by Dr. Asha Rajiv and Mr. Kalai Rajan, the event concluded with a closing ceremony and prize distribution.
Overall, AXIOM 2026 successfully fostered curiosity, collaboration, and a deeper appreciation for science as a dynamic and human endeavour
